I’ve spent most of my life traveling and moving due to a military family upbringing: North Carolina, Nevada, Ohio, Virginia, etc. By the time I reached my senior year of college, I had attended 14 different schools including 3 colleges: Radford University, Emory & Henry College, and Shenandoah University.
At Radford University I pursued a B.F.A. in Graphic Design. During my junior year, I was offered an academic scholarship to Emory & Henry College. While at E&H, I discovered that, while I love graphic design as an art, I am more interested in the advertising and marketing aspect of the field. That realization led to my decision to change my major to Mass Communications with a minor in Graphic Design.
My family moved to Winchester, Va. in May 2013. Due to my stepfather coaching at Shenandoah University, I was able to transfer my scholarship and attend my final semester of my senior year tuition free. Upon transferring, I found that SU did not offer a Graphic Design program so that led me to change my minor to English.
In May 2014, after completing two 21 credit semesters, I graduated cum laude from Shenandoah University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and an English minor.
